Well, that opening statement is very bold and of course , for most of us untrue. During our lifespan, fate and events, way beyond our control will conspire to either make possible or prevent us achieving our ambitions in life.
It could be something as simple as being a few minutes late for the job interview leading to your dream career; or a life changing incident, accident or a life threatening illness.
